Our Story
Nearly a century of independent terminal operations
Founded in 1938, Hanno Rotterdam BV has grown from a single Maasvlakte quay into an independent operator handling the transhipment, loading and unloading of maritime cargo, alongside dedicated petroleum and dry bulk storage.
Our position at the mouth of the Rhine-Scheldt delta gives customers direct access to Europe's industrial hinterland, backed by deep-water berths built for the next generation of tankers and bulk carriers.

Our Heritage
From a single quay to a global network
1938
Hanno is founded on the Rotterdam waterfront, handling maritime transhipment for early river and coastal traffic.
1960s–70s
Expansion onto the Maasvlakte as Rotterdam's port reclaims land seaward, adding deep-water berths for larger vessels.
1980s–90s
Petroleum and dry bulk storage become dedicated business lines alongside core transhipment services.
2000s
The network extends beyond Rotterdam with terminal capacity in Houston, Zhoushan, Jurong and Fujairah.
Today
