How we manage safety on site

Induction
Every new worker and contractor completes site-specific induction before setting foot on a terminal — no exceptions.
Supervised work
New staff shadow an experienced operator before working independently, and hot or confined-space tasks require a signed-off permit-to-work.
Reporting & review
Every incident, near-miss included, is logged and feeds directly back into procedure updates across the network.
Containment first, response ready
Spill-containment systems and gas detection are standard at every petroleum storage site, backed by emergency response procedures rehearsed on a fixed schedule.

Controls on hot and confined-space work
Any task involving hot work, confined spaces, or line-breaking on a live pipeline requires a signed-off permit before it begins, verified by a supervisor independent of the crew carrying out the task.
PPE compliance, no exceptions
High-visibility clothing, hard hats and site-appropriate protective equipment are mandatory for every visitor, contractor and employee on our terminal — checked at the gate, not on trust.
No one works unsupervised on day one
New terminal staff complete site-specific induction and shadow an experienced operator before working independently — the same process at every Hanno location.
Every incident logged, every time
An incident reporting line runs around the clock. Reports, near-misses included, feed directly back into procedure updates across the network rather than sitting in a file.
Checked by people who don't work for us
Independent third-party HSE audits run on a scheduled basis at our one operated terminal, under local port authority licensing terms and our own HSE standard.
